Donna was determined to throw a Halloween party for her friends this year; last year was too quiet.
She estimated that twelve or so would drop by. She delivered invitations to her neighbours, the headline stating join in on the fun.
At the first knock, she threw the door open to welcome her guests. She was wearing a purple ballerina outfit; with her long legs, she appeared very elegant. She hoped it wasn't too much.
Debby wore a ballroom gown from a former time; her companion Frank was dressed as a pirate. People entered, wearing different costumes, much more than anticipated came; it was tough to keep track of who was who.
Meanwhile, Donna's boyfriend arrived. She hurried over, not expecting a positive answer, yet still asked. "Did you remember the alcohol?"
He replied, "No!" Reaching for his cell. He dialled a delivery service, placing an order. "All done, they'll be here in fifteen minutes."
Donna noticed he never even asked to use her credit card. "Wow! You're such a darling!"
Donna ran her hands along his chest, drawing his face to hers. She stood on her toes, giving him a very sensuous kiss. His lips seemed fuller and yummier than usual. He even smelled more sensuous. What was this new fragrance?
Whispering secret promises for after the party. Donna gave his butt a squeeze while winking. He pulled her into the kitchen for another lengthy kiss, running his tongue along her lower lip; Donna's knees trembled.
She pulled away, "Where did that move come from? I love it! Save it; we can pick this up later. Right now, we have guests in the other room that need our attention."
For a change, Donna was looking forward to the after-party! It wasn't easy to find the perfect mate. She supposed it was as good as it gets. It wasn't like they were head over heels in love; however, if tonight was anything to go by, maybe love was on its way. She could get used to this kind of man.
"You're not saying much tonight," she said, smiling. "Are you savouring a bit of mystery tonight? Like I wouldn't recognize you! Can you ask Jennifer how she's doing? I think her fellow is late; nothing new there. I thought that was your thing; I guess you turned over a new leaf tonight. Keep it up!" She paused, "I was wondering, would you would want to fly to Paris for a week?"
He patted her ass before walking away. "I'd love to!" Leaving her stunned, wearing a grin huge.
Donna's buddy Bev strolled over, "You seem to be having a great time tonight. Good for you! Mine's been dry. My guy has been making me feel like I did something wrong." Donna stood starry-eyed, "He asked me to marry him last night. I told him I'd think about it; it's a huge decision. I was planning on telling him no tonight."
Bev sighed, "There are times I think about being single. What about you?"
Debbie took a deep breath, "Usually, but after tonight, I think I changed my mind. My man is acting like a new man. Yum!"
Her newfound pleasure sauntered back, asking her to slow dance. Grinning, he raised an eyebrow. "I plan on saving all of mine for you, sweetness."
Snuggling next to his gorgeous body, she whispered. "I would love to."
At that moment, mark shuffled in wearing sweat pants. She stepped away in confusion. He stood, giving her excuses about a pool game with a buddy.
Facing him, she said, "The answer to the question you asked is no."
Blushing, she turned to the man with the luscious body, whispering, "I meant every word."
